Victoria Grant

Victoria is a graduate student co-advised between the Petrov and Schumer labs (2021-present). She uses population genomics to aid conservation management for the black-footed cat (Felis nigripes): a species categorized as vulnerable to extinction by IUCN Red list. Her interests lie in understanding the relation of patterns of genetic diversity and species extinction. Prior to Stanford, she received her bachelor’s degree at Duke University where she worked in both the Katsanis and Pimm labs.
