Jessica Rhodes

Jess is a Genetics graduate student in the Petrov Lab. She is interested in rapid adaptation in natural populations, and is currently researching how the genetic variants linked to abdominal pigmentation in Drosophila melanogaster behave under strong selection. Previously, Jess researched genetic variation underlying human sleep patterns in Richa Saxena’s lab. Jess received her B.A. in Integrative Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Harvard, where her work focused on circadian rhythms and cyclical behavioral patterns.
