Gabor Boross

Gabor is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Petrov lab (2019-now). He completed his PhD in the lab of Balazs Papp in Hungary, where he worked on a number of different projects in the intersection of molecular evolution and systems biology, including compensatory evolution, the emergence of dominance and the evolution of gene expression noise in yeast, antibiotic resistance in bacteria, adaptation of antigen presenting proteins in the human immune system in response to pathogen pressure and metabolome evolution in mammals. In the Petrov lab, Gabor is developing new experimental tools to shed light on how driver mutations interact in tumors of lung adenocarcinoma with and without oncogenic alterations.
