David Gokhman

David is an Associate Professor at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. His lab studies how gene regulation shapes human evolution. During his time as a postdoc in the Petrov and Fraser labs, David used human-chimpanzee hybrid cells to investigate divergent cis-regulation between these species, and mapped the functional effect of variants that are unique to modern humans using massively parallel reporter assays: here. David's papers can be found here.
